CHINGAY EXPERIENCE |
|
For the first time, the People’s Association in collaboration with the Urban Redevelopment Authority aims to bring a slice of novel Chingay experience against a picturesque backdrop of City skyline and Singapore River to Singaporeans and Tourists. Chingay Experience @ Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade happened on Saturday 11 Dec 2010 and attracted a total of 5,000 onsite audiences who snapped away with their cameras and danced along with the roving parade performers making up of Lila drums, Flower Towers, Bunga Manggar dancers, CDC Wearable Arts dancers and more! Over 200 volunteers and even members of the public also get to paint the colourful float by the Community Development Councils. The Guest-of-House at the event is Dr Amy Khor, Mayor of South West District and Minister of the Environment and Water Resources, who kick start the parade with the strike of the gong! Check out photos of actual mini parade at PAssion Chingay Club Facebook! |
