"I Have a Dream for Chingay 2012" Naïve Art (我的梦想妆艺2012 - 纯朴艺术比赛) Competition", which is in line with Chingay's 40th Anniversary, is part of the Community Service Projects movement to centre Chingay as a People's Parade and in particular, to empower children of diverse backgrounds, ages, races and abilities.

A total of 340 children, from Primary schools and Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs), aged between 5 to 12, worked hand in hand to co-create a Dream Piece for "I Have a Dream for Chingay 2012" Naïve Art (我的梦想妆艺2012 - 纯朴艺术比赛) Competition" at Marine Parade CC on 19 June 2011.

All the 400 Arts Pieces created by the children will be exhibited at the Chingay Parade PA's Got Talents Arts & Culture Carnival next year, which will be held from 3 February to 5 February 2012 at the F1 Pit Building Area. Among all these entries, one was picked as the Dream Piece, which will be turned into an actual performance contingent at Chingay Parade 2012!
