The Finale of Chingay Parade Singapore 2009 “Banquet” ( 夜宴), as a single performance piece will be one of the grandest and best outdoor shows ever in Singapore. Involving 700 performers, this mega show piece of the 37th Chingay Parade is a multi-element and multi-sensory presentation combining world-class illusion show, singing by theatre stars to be accompanied by SLO Children Choir, acrobatic acts, poem recitation by Professor Edwin Thumboo, Wearable Arts display, glittering magical floats, fire works and others.  Also come and witness one of the most spectacular magic and illusion shows at work by Lawrence Khong, Master Magician who will set himself on fire - Asia's first death-defying act!

CHINGAY MEDIA CONFERENCE II - HIGHLIGHTS OF CHINGAY 2009

Chingay 2009 next year will witness the involvement of large number of famous and folk personalities. Besides introducing the theme "Wonderland", announcement that Chingay Parade will be telecast only on 1 February 2009, there are many stunning highlights which include the debut of world-renowned Tong Liang Fire Dragon at the parade, tallest float in Chingay history in history by Nanyang Technological University of Singapore; a mechanical and engineering wonder......

CHINGAY MEDIA CONFERENCE I - PROJECT WONDERLAND

The People's Association (PA) will launch a new Chingay Public Participation Programme (创   造   梦   幻   乐   园   - 精    彩   妆   艺   民   众   参   与  计划   ) with a series of activities for members of the public to be a direct part of next year’s Chingay excitement and grand celebrations; even to be involved as a perfomer in a Chingay Parade Contingent!    Under the theme “Project Wonderland”  (创   造   梦   幻   乐   园  计划   ), the Chingay Public Participation Programme will include a series of public workshops, competitions, Wearable Arts Exhibition and other events organised by our various partners with PA’s support
