Performed by: Singapore Soka Association, Outward Bound Singapore Presented by: New Century Foundation and Batam View Beach Resort Choreographed by: Ms Yeo Bee Loon

This will be the grand opening item to the parade with a glamorous overture consisting creative and colourful sea creatures, elegant dancers showcasing their silky dance moves within a whale-shaped super jumbo float and accompanied by one Outward Bound School (OBS) cutter sailing boat.
After the release of firecrackers and confetti to signify the grand opening of Chingay Parade, 16 OBS instructors will open the show with a big bang by abseiling down the
wall facade of City Hall amidst thunder and lightning effects to show the energy, vigour and vibrancy of the Chingay Parade.
Having weathered the storm, waves of ocean current gushed down the City Hall façade
(in the form of huge blue cloth dropped down from City Hall) and flowed smoothly towards the spectators and over them, providing added glitz and excitement for the spectators.
Dancers dressed in creative and colourful sea creature costumes sizzle around the whale-like float and cutter sailing boat to add to the mystique of the underwater world, creating a magical ocean wonderland.
Taking centre stage will be a whale-like jumbo float with transparent screen in the centre where elegant dancers show off their silky moves. Clever use of various light effects will also be employed to enhance the visual impact. Accompanying the whale-like float is a well-decorated OBS cutter sailing boat to fit the overall underwater concept of the item.
