 Inspired by the highly acclaimed and award winning sculptor, Mr Sun Yu Li, ancient drawings and modern sculptures form the basis of creativity of this item. Works of artistic sculptures are transformed into larger than life art pieces, and creatively put together to form this majestic float, injecting the beauty and essence of fine arts into Chingay.
Be intrigued by the slick and clean-cut movements of the performers that weaves a fascinating labyrinth of illusions, entertaining the audience with enchanting sight and sound.
Dressed in slick PVC look-alike, smart long coats with white long boots, the performers exude tremendous energy and graceful elegance, putting up a visually artistic performance. To add to the artistic touch, large hand-props, accompanying sets and head gears are all designed and modelled after Mr Sun’s various art works etc.
The use of modern contemporary music with poetic feel and pulsating beats, coupled with simple yet artistic dance moves, clearly accentuates the beauty of modernist simplicity,
and underlining the beauty of breathtaking artistry at its highest level.
Group
PA Talents dedicates its efforts to the preservation of promotion of Singapore’s multi cultural heritage through their dances. It is led by a pool of well known and experienced choreographers. The group performs regularly at community, national and international functions and events. They were performed in Indonesia, Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Maldives, Brunei, Taiwan, Canada and Papua New Guinea.
The Mayflower Secondary School Chinese Dance Club put up dance performances at their school assembly and other school events regularly. External performances include performing for senior citizens and other community events at CCs as well.
The Chung Cheng (Yishun) Dance Group comprises 85 members, and both its Chinese Cultural Dance Group and International Dance Group won Silver medals at the recent Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) 2007 Central Judging. Some of the recent events that they have participated include Chingay Parade of Dreams 2007 and NDP 2007.
Float
This is an ingenious art piece that features many of the brilliant art works previously created by Mr Sun Yu Li. Works of artistic sculptures are transformed into larger than life art pieces, and creatively put together to form this majestic float, injecting the beauty and essence of fine arts into Chingay.
