Dragon Boat racing has always been associated with teamwork, effective partnership and performance. Taking centre stage in this item will be the spectacular display by a team of 12 performers in their fanciful bicycles, combining in swift and amazing fashion to transform into a grand dragon boat.
Audiences are treated to a visually impactful display as the item begins with lively and vivacious dancers ushering the lunar Chinese New Year on their bicycles. Once transformed into a dragon boat, performers display their resoluteness and team work with their sturdy display of paddling skills.
Next up, elegant dancers performing “Shan Xi” festival drumming danced around with lanterns and drums to depict grace and beauty. This dance performance is filled with colours and energy, with pulsating drum beats and intricate footwork coupled with rhythmic movements. Accessorised with colourful costumes and fanciful foldable lanterns, the whole item exudes creativity, vigour and liveliness.
