Chingay Parade is an event that attracts both Singaporeans and visitors. As such, it has attracted the attention of media from all over the world.

Accreditation for media will open in February 2008. An invitation will be sent to invited media.

Only accredited media will be allowed to cover the Chingay Parade. Journalists assigned to cover Chingay Parade must hold valid press credentials, or prove their professional journalistic bona fides. Freelance journalists will not be accredited unless they provide an assignment letter from a news organisation or publication. Academics, students, and public relations professionals cannot be accredited as press for the Parade.
