If you and your company of friends want to make a statement with your own style of street rock (a.k.a. street cheerleading), join the Cheer Rock! Competition. We are looking for teams with the hip quotient to rock Singapore ! No stunts are needed, just simple street style choreography with a feisty street rocker attitude. .

Selected teams will be invited to rock at the Chingay Parade of DreamS 2006 in Orchard Road and at the Chingay festival celebrations in various community and public spaces. All teams will also have the privilege of attending free cheerleading workshops conducted by The United Spirit Association.

Cheers

Participants are required to incorporate cheers into a segment of their dance routine. Cheers are to be devised by the teams and it has to be original, dynamic and embellished with the name of our nation-wide celebration - Chingay . The Best Team Cheer accolade will be rewarded to the most deserving team.

This is awarded to the most hip team of street rockers.
