Our youth has chosen the concept of fishes to represent youth because youth today tend to flock in groups with their friends and pursue trends. In the same vein, fishes swim in schools and they flow with the currents in the water. Fishes also come in different shapes, sizes and there are different families of fishes. Similarly, youth have different personalities and they come from varied family backgrounds. The artworks represent the unique individual in each and every youth.

Initial Concept

The idea of fish has been adopted by Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts to represent the Kaleidoscope of Youth. A variety of smaller fishes made from materials such as metal, wood, clay will be spread accordingly, following the rhythmic wave of the structure of the fish. This definitely displays the dynamism and zest of youth.
