Our youth aim to create a surreal experience of stepping into an imaginary land. Employing an abstract approach, the art pieces personify Singapore to show the Singapore dream. The eye symbolises the vision of Singapore . The mouth defines the things that we are proud to speak of. As Singaporeans immerse in the festive mood of Chingay, our youth hope to encourage us to envision a dream for Singapore . Someday, perhaps, the surreal will be transformed into reality.

Initial Concept

In Chingay 2006, LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts aims to stir up nationalistic emotions through their surreal concept that depict the journey that Singapore has gone through to achieve what we are today - a prosperous globalised city.
